  • Portsmouth

Been on holiday this week to Hayling Island, a holiday camp, all the drinks were 50p. I don't usually like Tetley's but it went down OK at that price.
One pub in Portsmouth visited, The Invincible, near the harbour gate, John Smiths at £2.20 but they did have Flowers as well, didn't try that though, don't know if theyve pulled any off.
Called in one pub in Worthing, something like "the Vitulars Parrott" I think it wsa called, £2.30 a pint there.
The pubs didn't look messed about a lot, all the pubs up here, Nottingham, have been changed into fish and chip shops, stink of vinegar and chip fat.

  • pub decline

This year saw the closure of two pubs and two clubs in kirkby, two buildings completly demolished, one of which was a very old inn, The Railway Inn.
Good drinking places are getting hard to find
